Head of Infrastructure Portfolio Management Our Client Our client is a world renowned progressive financial institution with offices in a number of major financial services centre’s. They boast significant assets under management, along with a strong track record of performance and are in a solid position in today’s tough financial climate. The Role The individuals role will be broad in scope and will include working with the firms largest clients to design and build bespoke investment solutions across various traditional and alternative asset classes using the company's manager research resources to identify, select and blend tailored portfolio's to meet with clients risk/return targets. He/she will be required to manage these bespoke portfolios on an ongoing basis to ensure the portfolios achieve their objectives including overseeing performance attribution and risk management systems. Within their allocated funds/products, the portfolio manager will be responsible for sub-advisor selection/de-selection and for the negotiation of mandate design etc for each product and sub-advisor. He/she will be required to monitor the selected sub-advisors to ensure they are achieving their objectives, whilst also working with the research team to research new sub-advisors and asset classes for addition to the client's investment programme. Act as point of contact for the designated clients and carry out regular reporting to the clients as well as participating in client specified projects from time to time and as a senior member of the investment team, contribute to the ongoing development of the investment process. Required Skills and Experience - Third level qualification in a business/investment or related discipline is essential, an MBA is a positive
- The ideal candidate will have minimum 10 years experience as an Investment Consultant or Fund Manager with demonstrated experience and knowledge of portfolio construction issues
- Highly developed understanding of investment markets and the management of assets
- Exposure to European clients across multiple segments
- The ability to lead a wide range of projects across different functions
- A proven capability for oral and written communication at all levels as well as having excellent analytical, presentation and problem solving skills
- Fluency in English - another European Language is a positive
- The ability to establish a solid working relationship with clients, colleagues and other industry partners
